Every Child a Reader Accredited
Every Child a Reader (ECAR) at South Bersted C. of E. School uses Reading Recovery to teach reading and literacy skills to Year One pupils. It is intended to positively influence life chances and ensure all children reach their reading potential.
Every Child Counts Accredited
Every Child Counts (ECC) at South Bersted C. of E. School involves mathematical interventions which help children throughout the school who have difficulty with numeracy. The interventions we use are ‘1st Class at Number’ and ‘Success at Arithmetic’.
South & South East in Bloom Gold Award
Awarded in recognition of the schools commitment to the maintenance and development of the school grounds, and the integration of the outside environment within the curriculum.
Sainsbury’s School Games Silver Award
This is a government led awards scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
