In June we held elections for our new 2018-19 Junior Governors. We had 6 candidates, all of whom put forward their proposals during a special Collective Worship. After the candidates put forward their proposals, members of the school community come together to vote.
The standard of the campaigns were so high that we took the decision to appoint four Junior Governors rather than two. The successful candidates, who took up their roles from September 2018, were: Joseph, Amelia, Jessica and Morgan.
Junior Governors hold regular meetings with Mr Goodwin, the Headteacher, to discuss events, activities, worries and successes relating to school life. Junior Governors are also the Chairs of the Children’s Cabinet. During their time as Junior Governors, Joseph, Morgan, Amelia and Jessica will act as School Ambassadors and represent the school at local and national events; some of which may be reported in the press.
