Our Sports Ambassadors are chosen based on their leadership skills and ability to be a good role model; they also need to be fairly sporty. We currently have four year 6 Ambassadors and in the Spring term four more year 5 children will be trained in the role.
During their training they meet Ambassadors from The Regis School and learn lots of teamwork skills and how to think of new ideas. They are also given time during this session to plan an activity to lead back at school using the skills they have learnt during their training.
This year our Sports Ambassadors will help run lunchtime clubs in the Spring term and will teach the children how to play a range of games and activities.
The Ambassadors will also help to run sporting activities across the school such as, school’s sport day and the three intra school competitive days we have throughout the year. They run these alongside the sports leaders from the Regis School.
Our Ambassadors also will plan and run an after school club with the focus of encouraging children to be active.
Look out for our Ambassadors wearing black t-shirts!
